This easy log-cabin style pattern is a great way to learn the basics to creating rag quilts. ¬†Using 5 flannel fabrics, you can create a cuddly 51″ x 51″ quilt in just a few steps.

  • 1 1/2 yds Fabric A
  • 2 yds Fabric B
  • 1 1/2 yds Fabric C
  • 1 1/2 yds Fabric D
  • 1 1/2 yds Fabric E
  • 3 yards batting or flannel (optional depending on desired warmth)
  • Coordinating thread and pre-wound bobbins
  • Sewing Machine (in good working order)
  • Walking foot (recommended)
  • Schmetz Microtex needles (recommended)
  • Scissors/Snips (Rag Quilt Scissors recommended)
  • Pins
  • Marking pen
