Welcome to Buttons and Bolts Fabric & Quilting Supply!

Western Kenosha County’s premier quilt shop!

Buttons and Bolts is a bright, friendly place to find all your quilting needs. We have a variety of patterns, books, and fabrics, and our selections change monthly. Our teachers have designed classes that will appeal to beginners and experienced quilters alike. We also offer long arm quilting services and supplies. Our goal is to make customers our friends. If we don’t have it, tell us! Want to receive our email newsletter?  Click here.

Christmas Quilting Deadline

If you have a Christmas gift in the works, you’ll need to have it turned in for quilting by October 12th to guarantee completion before December 20th. This will give you time to attach binding before wrapping it up and hiding it under the tree. If you need to ship your quilt, we recommend turning your quilt in before then.

We have 4 new Holiday Themed pantographs now. Cardinals, poinsettia, pine cones, and holly. Want something extra special? We can create a pantograph with a child’s name that will repeat all over the quilt.

New Fabric Has Arrived!

So much has come in these last two weeks, I doubt I could put it all in this email. Here are some of our favorites!

“A Year of Love” from Henry Glass isn’t a Valentine fabric line. The panel has a block for each month! The coordinating prints in red and white are perfect blenders for any project. Sure, there are some hearts in there, but we think you’ll “love” using this line for a 2015 wall/door hanging project. And what could be better than two free patterns? Click here to see more!

We’ve also brought in a beautiful line of Japanese prints from QH Textiles. “Hanabi” is available in brown, navy, silver, and more. Covered in fine metallic designs, you won’t want to miss seeing this fabric! Click here to see the prints in-store.

We also restocked some of our batik solids, and the beginning of our flannel collection has arrived. Be sure to stop in and see them!

New Workshops and Classes

If you haven’t been in to see us since the move, you have to see how large the classroom is! We’re so thrilled! There is plenty of room to spread out. Join us for a Sit & Sew each Friday from 12 pm to 4 pm for only $5. We’ll provide some snacks, irons and ironing boards, cutting mats, rulers and rotary cutters. You just bring your machine and a project. Its a great escape from the housework, and with the holidays approaching we all have gifts to finish up.
